Blustery weather? The Yakutian laughs in the face of such fleece-menacing breeze, trapping warmth even when you take off your shell.
- Dense-knit outer face is durable and wind resistant
- Four-way stretch for freedom of movement
- Breathable and fast-drying for layering
The smooth, dense-knit outer face provides a much greater level of wind-resistance than your average fleece (roughly four times more), making the Yakutian versatile enough to wear as a stand-alone layer. This exterior knit is also harder wearing to stand up to the scuffs and scrapes of scrambling and climbing.
The Yakutian might act all big and tough on the outside, but it’s a real softy at heart. Thanks to the clever double-knit construction, the inside is still lined with soft and warm brushed fleece. Fleece is hard to beat as a mid-layer: it’s highly breathable, wicking and fast drying, with a great warmth to weight ratio, even in damp conditions.
Comfortable for a range of dynamic activities, the Yakutian moves with you even when you’re throwing your most elaborate shapes. A slim fit reduces excess fabric and the inclusion of 8% spandex provides the material with exceptional stretch and recovery.
A half-zip allows you to vent well when you’re working up a sweat, and thumb-loops and a longer hem lock out draughts. The small chest pocket is placed for easy-access and is the perfect size for a phone or compass. Flat-lock seams are comfortable underneath rucksack and harness straps.
